Well, I know its quite late for having first impression when the series actually reaching 4th chapter as of this time. Honestly, I never expected this Anime to be so awesomely good. That is my reason why it is so much late in giving pre-review. Let's just hop-on to the point, shall we?
The story ia about a thirty-year-old bachelor Daikichi going to his home for his grandfather's funeral. Much surprise, he finds that his old man had an illegitimate child with a younger lover! The rest of his family is equally shocked and embarrassed by this surprise development, and not one of them wants anything to do with the silent little girl, Rin. In a fit of angry spontaneity, Daikichi decides to take her in himself! But will living with this overgrown teenager of man help Rin come out of her shell? And hang on, won't this turn of events spell doom for Daikichi's love life?!
That's pretty much cover about what the the story is all about.
If you are a lolicon and expect some Loli theme here, then surely you will be dissapointed. Eventhough the story mostly revolve around Rin, a little girl. In fact, there is no Loli theme here. The stories successfully stir your paternal instict. A new outlook introduced for viewing a child. It is sad yes, but not depressing like some other Anime. Seeing how hard Daikichi's effort to make Rin, his should-be-Auntie raise up to be a decent teenager is very touching.
Let's see how fare this series in term of score. I'm sure you already know how I praise this series. No words can describe it, you must experience it by yourself. I will give it 9,5/10, almost perfect but at least it can get another polish. About the graphic, since this ANime is based on Fujoshi, the graphic is really give oldish feel (like Hourou Musuko) and I think it fits well with the theme. A score of 8,5/10 is fair. The OP itself feels like really kiddy, though not as kiddy as Chibi Maruko-chan or Doraemon. Fits also well with the theme, so i will give 9/10.
That's just sum it all. The total score is 9/10 , very Decent Anime.
Well, its quite a surprise to see such a rare gem when ironically a Loli-Moe theme Anime swarming the market. But then you can still depend on NoitaminA for every season, at least they always brings you decent and actually "safe" Anime to see with your family. Perfeclty the best Anime for this season especially since not so much quality Anime exist for Summer.
