But before you brag about how Japanese player is better than Messi,Ronaldo,etc. you need to notice it is about Woman Cup, not the Male one.
This success prompting the usual sudden and opportunistic interest in football amongst Japanese supporters. Japanese media helpfully offered gloating coverage of Americans witnessing their defeat.
It is still a mystery though whether the Male team of Japan is much inferior to their female one or the female team of other country is much weaker. Anyway, this success can ease a bit of suffering for many Japanese after several months ago having a really bad time.
Americans have been using Facebook to congratulate Japan on their recent World Cup victory with their usual sportsmanship and good grace.
